Donation activities will be tracked to assess successes and failures. The main recipients are local waste management authorities, with engagement from Swedish and possibly other Nordic municipalities. AUC and AATC will be approached for assistance in identifying potential recipients. Activities in this component will begin in 2024, with the final delivery scheduled between 2025 and 2027.
Component 9
Donations of equipment
This component aims to enhance the technical capacity for municipal waste collection and transportation in Ukraine through the provision of donated equipment such as bins, containers, and trucks. It involves establishing organisations in Sweden and potentially other Nordic and European countries to facilitate donations, as well as organisations within Ukraine to receive these donations. Key activities include determining the ability of municipalities to donate equipment, arranging contacts with interested parties, liaising with Swedish-Ukrainian twin towns, and supporting customs and logistical arrangements.
